Is All In God's Hands

Everything defined by Bhagats has some logic. Sometimes, we fail to understand the logic because of our limited knowledge and we start questioning the deep thoughts put forth by the Bhagats. Bhagats have said that everything is in God's hands. We human beings go on doing ill deeds as we find Rasa in such deeds otherwise why would one go for an ill deed? Sometimes, our id overpowers the ego in us and we commit something not expected from ourselves even by us. Only human mind out of all forms has developed to understand the evil and the good but we keep on doing bad deeds just like a leech drinks blood from the body of a leper. Let us discuss it with the example of a leech given in a shabad co-written by Bhagat Surdas Ji and Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. si-aam sundar taj aan jo chaahat ji-o kustee tan jok.(P.1253) One, who forsakes the elegantly beautiful Lord, and harbors desire for anything else, is like a leech on the body of a leper.
Just like a leech does not know the sweet blood of the leper is poison and that the sweetness of the blood is just a mirage and not truth. A leech knows this only when it dies after a lot of suffering after drinking the sweet poison. Just like that, we keep on doing ill-deeds and one day comes when this body leaves the world after completing its time over here. But the game is not of bodies. The Karma that one has done, have to get the fruit. Karmas are seeds that we sow as long as we live. The life becomes shorter and shorter day after day and the agriculture of our Karmas grows more and more. Now, Karmas have to bear fruit and if it does not happen in one lifespan, one has to come again in human form and finally bear the fruits by suffering in a new lifespan again. Now, this is ultimate rule of Waheguru Ji and no one can make a change in that. This rule can not be changed by humans and so, some humans say that all is in God's Hands. Some humans just come to know this thing and they start regretting for what they have done. Then they stop doing deeds. They start believing in His Will and that 'Maanukh Ke Kichh Naahi Haath'. Then love happens with Him and His blessings, His mehar, His karam happens and a soul meets the Ultimate. The jeevaatma meets the Ultimate.
One thing is done that we can not go out of His Bhana. That of course means whether we like it or not, some things have to happen to us and it is good if we accept them willingly. God has all in His hands but he has given humans an opportunity to live in His hukam doing Karmas according to their mind and budh. Whenever a human does a misdeed, he/she knows that he/she is doing wrong. The self-conscience forbids the human from accomplishing a misdeed. But we sometimes go for such a deed. Kabir Mann Jaanai Sab Baat Jaanat Hi Avgun Karay, Kaahe Ki Kuslaat Haath Deep Kuyen Paray Kabeer, the mortal knows everything, and knowing, he still makes mistakes. What good is a lamp in one's hand, if he falls into the well?
The concept is just like a fish that lives in waters. The fish knows what is good for it and what not. It can go anywhere in the waters. It can come to the top to fetch something for eating. It can go deep in the waters. It can refrain itself from putting itself in front of other animals that can be dangerous to its life or it can choose to come across such a beast. It knows what is good and what is bad for it. The God has given human beings a chance to make them get themselves out of the rebirth cycle by enabling them to pursue their Karmas within the limitations binding them in accordance with His hukam. Though, He has given the man access to choose between various options hanging in front of him. Now it is up to man what he does even after having the knowledge of the right and the wrong and of the good and the bad.
Normally, atheists take this as a matter of debate for sadistic pleasure and put others into such useless debates. We should not put ourselves into such debates and try to learn more and more as told by the Guru Sahibaan.
